After starting 11 years ago to bring great quality Gourmet burgers to event catering, Deejays has expanded to now have 2 trailers.
The first specifically designed for event catering, was built to David’s requirements and delivered May 2011. Measuring 6m x 2.4 m the trailers exterior is a showstopper. Expandable to 8m long Deejays Gourmet Griller is great at getting a lot of food out fast
while maintaining exceptional quality. The new trailer Deejays Little Griller is a Pinto built BBQ trailer, perfect for building sites or corporate breakfasts.
Product supply has been arranged to ensure daily deliveries to various locations throughout the North Island. Frucor provides bottled beverages on the same basis. High quality Chicken and Beef patties are being provided by Expleo boutique butchery Te Awamutu to Deejays specifications. Prime export quality eye fillet has also been sourced from top end suppliers.
A sample menu is attached with an emphasis on top quality and aiming at the upper end of the fast-food market. This can be altered to suit specific events.
The Company’s first event “3D Rotorua - Off-Road Winter Multisport Festival” was held at Rotorua in June 2011. The event was very successful with much favorable comment on the quality of the food provided and appearance (inside and out) of the trailer. Since the first event Deejays has been invited to Crankworx since it came to New Zealand, we have also catered many Leadfoot festival, Horse of the year, Mystery Creek Fieldays, Rhythm & Vines, Eqifest, and are eagerly looking forward to WRC in 2022. We also cater many smaller shows and private functions.
Both food trailers can be operated with a minimum staff of 1 but for larger events it will be staffed by 4/5 experienced people. David has had a long-term interest in food and has experienced different tastes all round the world.
